Overview

Amvic Buck System Vinyl Window BuckThe Amvic Buck System is a vinyl door and window block-out system for use with Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) construction.

Sizes

The Amvic Buck System is currently available in 4" and 6" concrete core sizes.
  

Green
  • The Amvic Buck system is made from 100% post-industrial recycled materials.
  • During installation there is little or no waste, however any waste that is produced can be recycled.

The elements mentioned above allow the Amvic Buck System to contribute points towards LEED certification.  An additional Regional Materials point may also apply.

Quick Installation Overview

 
1. Preparation
  • Measure and cut the buck lengths to the desired rough opening size.
  • When cutting each side, make an additional cut-out from the raised side of the buck to ensure a proper fit during assembly, or use the Amvic Buck Jig.
  • Remember to also cut an opening from the bottom side of the buck to allow for concrete pouring and consolidation.

2. Assembly
  • Screw all four sides of the buck together.
  • Next, attach a piece of plywood in the centre for additional support.

3. Installation
  • Place the buck into the wall.
  • In some cases, you may be required to remove the closest web in the forms next to the buck to ensure a proper fit.
  • Continue stacking remaining forms.
