The following is a basic overview of the steps involved in the installation of the AmDeck Floor & Roof System.
- Erect shoring as per engineer or code requirements.
- Install steel joists 16" apart.
- Stack forms starting from one side and work towards the other side.
- Install electrical conduits and block-outs for service penetrations.
- Place rebar for concrete joists.
- Place transverse and longitudinal rebar for the concrete top.
- Pour concrete onto forms starting from one side and work towards the other side.
- Follow with a pencil vibrator to ensure proper concrete consolidation.
- Smooth concrete out to create a flat surface.
- Let concrete cure and proceed with further stages of construction.
